The Rangers are coming off their best season yet, winning the HBL Championship. They boast one of the most talented lineups in the HBL. With new player/coach/Captain Brad Haley at the helm, they should once again challenge for division supremacy. With a great mix of speed, skill and experience, the Rangers can win with any style of play. A remarkable blend of speed, strength and scoring ability makes Sedrovic one of the game’s most dominant players. He can turn a game around at any moment with a devastating check, a tape-to-tape pass, an end-to-end rush or a key goal. Keep Torry on the ice, as he led the Blueshirts in scoring 91 points last year. Solid in his own end, Woloszyn also has speed and skill to match the league’s top offensive forwards – use him everywhere on the ice, he can carry the puck end-to-end or fire bullets from the point. Wyatt Woolsey is a steady member of the Hinton blueline corps. A reliable defenseman in clearing the zone, Woolsey can chip in with some offense too. Solid in all areas of defensive play, use him as the ideal man to guard his zone while Woloszyn is on the offensive rush. Known for his awesome slapshot, big Graig Wiebe is the backbone of the Rangers defensive unit. Always one of the top point getters among defenseman in the league, the Rangers look to him for leadership – set him up for a one – timer and he’ll unleash the heaviest shot in the game. One of the outstanding power defencemen in the HBL, Shawn Franken can beat opponents with his scoring skills. Strong along the boards and in the slot, Franken can’t be pushed off the puck. When he gets into scoring position, he can put the puck away so look for him on the open point, and use his accuracy to finish the play. Kolberg has skating prowess that can take him effortlessly to the net and can boost the team’s morale and offence if you use his talents on and off the ice. Former Ponoka Stampeders Bryan Zygmunt should be the Rangers’ top man in the nets this season. Great reflexes are his chief asset, enabling him to turn away any type of scoring chance. Solid in the cage and most capable with the game on the line, Zygmunt is a durable goalie who can face many shots. Acquired in the 2018-19 season, Adam Denomme can burn a team in a variety of ways. Speedy with great checking skills, Adam is one of the HBL’s best defensive forwards, year after year. Denomme can be used to shadow the opposition’s most dangerous player or provide a scoring punch when called upon. One of the most consistent scorers in HBL history, Brad Haley became the first player to accumulate 30 plus PIMs in 10 seasons. He has the speed to carry the puck up ice, the hands to set up an open teammate and a blistering shot that can blow holes through a netminder’s glove.
