As Buschleague enters their third season they will surely continue to improve with experience. A core of veteran and young players will have a year of teamwork to build on. Look for Buschleague to pull off some upset wins this coming season. The young hometown centerman should carry much of the goal scoring load for Buschleague. Chris Watts has the ability to score a lot, if used often. Last season, Watts potted 10 goals with the man advantage so let Watts pile up lots of ice time and the numbers will follow. A solid defenseman, Zimmer is the sparkplug of the Busch’ attack. Although not big for a blueliner, Zimmer has the ability to hold his own in front of the net. Zimmer also likes to be involved with the offense. Don’t be fooled by his size, Zimmer can handle opposing forwards. A stay-at-home defenseman, Keith Kennedy was a member of the all-rookie team in 1990, and hopes to add to his credits this season. Last season he established himself as the Buschleague goalies’ best friend – use his defensive abilities and don’t let him wander too far from the blueline. Shane Alderman was the workhorse between the pipes last season, look for him to carry the load again this season – a very stable goaltender who enjoys playing the angles. Buschleagues’s leading goal scorer last season will be counted on again this year. Tyler Verbeek has the talent to produce big numbers, providing he gets the ice time and stays away from injuries. The quick Verbeek likes to shoot, so feed him the puck and look for rebounds. Ryan Correia has scored 10 plus goals each of his 3 HBL seasons, including a career high 12 with the Buschleague last year. A big, solid right winger, he is a natural on the power play – Batog has the most accurate shot on the team so get him the puck as much as possible.
